BDW
So, I was selling a couple of NES games on ebay, when I got a message from a user named giavana13. He asked: "hello im shopping around for a contra game but I can only spend 20$ would you let it go for that price with shipping. If you can let me know and set up a buy now I will pay for it rite away. Thank you." Personally, ebay side deals piss me off so I went with the ol' "against the rules" excuse. "Side deals are against ebay rules and I refuse to particpate. Thanks, BDW" This is where things get interesting. Out of nowhere, this guy goes absolutely off the deep end. "what are you talking about , Im not trying to set a side deal direct through paypal. I never said that dude, im asking if you want to do a buy now deal at a lower price loll. Oviously your confused and an idiot. There is no rule against setting a deal as a buy now at a lower price and ending an auction. As long as there are no bids on the item. so get it right moron, Im all set anyways I struck a deal on one over the weekend. the seller pulled him off auction and sold him to me directly through ebay as a buy now. your a fool dude before you make statements like that at people like im cheating the system know what your talking about. ive been buying and selling on ebay for like 8 years retard I know the rules. stick your contra game up your tight ass dude." I decide to take the relative high road and reply with the following: "Wow, you really convinced me to sell you that game with your well thought out and polite post. You should probably get your schizophrenia checked out, at least before you graduate high school. I don't think most employers tolerate that kind of stuff.Have a good day." If you thought the previous message message was inflammatory, this next one really takes the cake. "lollll ok dick head. To be quite honest I do just fine im going through life making $92,000 a year selling seafood by the tonnage to places you shop at like Walmart, or maybe Win Dixie, or oh ya here is another one Sysco. I own my own $400,000 dollar house and I drive a 2008 Escalade. I have an awesome family wife and kids and my life is as pretty as a pink pussy. So their is nothing your gay ass could ever say or do to upset me homo. your just an asshole with a piece of shit game that im buying for my son. I just like a good deal its in my nature im in sales. But your a retard because instead of contacting me and making some kind of deal you acted like dick head and tried saying I was doing something dishonest , because your a pompus clown that probably wacks his pecker off all day long selling stupid shit on ebay. ya dude I looked up your items your selling. you are definitely a child molester. so fuck off and leave me alone" To which I responded with: "Leave you alone? I thought you were the one messaging me! I can tell you're not very old just by the way you type, so I'll let you off easy and not report you to the ebay staff.PS: There's no need to lie to a stranger on the internet. You're not impressing anyone." Anyone else deal with crazy people like this on a regular basis? I know there are some real active ebayers on here and I'd like to hear some stories.
kennybrooks
Better be sure you add him to your blocked bidders list. Seems kind of pissed.
sega_SHARK
A buyer won three auctions from me. All with free shipping. No payment, no communication for two days. I send two invoices. I get another invoice request from the buyer with the following request: Can you give me a discount on all three items because I bought so much? AUCTION STYLE LISTINGS I stared at the screen for about five minutes thinking "Why don't you understand how this works?" so yeah, nothing too crazy. I should change my sig for the day in honor of your recent eBay experience.

I know there are some real active ebayers on here and I'd like to hear some stories. I usually just say "Thanks for the offer, but I am going to let the auction play out." I usually don't get a reply after that. Technically, he is right about adding a BIN, but there is no excuse for being a complete douche-bag and telling you about his salary and 400,000 house. That is just laughable.

People were already bidding on it, and in my opinion that's a big no no. I've seen too many threads on AA were people were screwed out of a game they wanted because "that guy" swooped in and side-dealed it before the auction ended.
Tempest
you are definitely a child molester Stuff like this is why I don't sell on ebay anymore. Too many cheaters and freaks. AA has just the right amount...
Keatah
The internet is jam-packed with idiots. Just let them be. In 14 years of ebaying, common sense and intuition have served me well.
Albert
Thanks for sharing your experience with this particular eBay user. It amuses me to see grown adults transform into five-year olds when they don't get their way. I'd definitely report that last message to eBay. And, yes, I've had to deal with plenty of crazy people on the internet, easily exceeding what you've displayed here. Not through eBay, though. ..Al
oldjd
As suggested by Al, report it to Ebay. Maybe they do something maybe not but it may prevent this "buyer" from repeating again. And as with anything on the internet, the keyboard cowboys always talk smack, because they figure they are safe. I have also dealt with this type stuff occasionally, and the best way to handle them is either ignore or kill em with kindness. That being said, if I ever had the opportunity to meet them face to face, I would choke the living shit out of them!
BDW
He just doesn't know when to quit! "if you want to report just do it no need for threats nobody is holding a gun to your head telling you not to. like I said this aint my life shit head and I really don't care. Your pathetic dude . Im 38 years old asshole and I don't need to lie to you. your a scrub making a living on ebay so like I said stop sending me messages or im gonna keep returning your messages ass hole. your just provoking me with every message so stop already or report me." To recap: I'm a pathetic child molester with a tight ass that makes his living selling stuff on ebay. This dude is just a gift that keeps on giving.
+save2600
His use of grammar and maturity level is astounding for someone nearing 40! If I were you, I'd have stopped reading and replying to such drivel by now. In fact, probably would have never answered the original question in the first place. All of this could have been so easily avoided.
AtariTexas
Next time dont answer........I find that 70% of questions that buyers ask arent even worth replying to. If its a legit question about the item or a shipping question I answer.........something like that which you shown.........that would have went to the big internet trashcan in the sky

Well I have one. Very Long Story Short .... Two years ago, a seller was selling off a collection of games and I ended up buying some. It turns out that the seller ended up accidentally swapping the shipping labels and I got a different buyer's order. I offered to ship the items back, but the seller said just keep the games and gave me a refund. I ended up getting a box of Amiga games that I wasn't really interested in so I traded them to a friend. A month later, I received an email from the other buyer demanding that I ship him the games that were mistakenly shipped to me. I told him that they were no longer in my possession and that he should move on. This is when he proceeded to go completely ape shit psycho. He first threatened to sue me if I didn't get him his games back. Then after it was clear that I was going to ignore him, he used my eBay account name (given to him by the seller) and found that I also had some stuff for sale. He disingenuously bought one of my items, making him an official buyer and therefore giving him access to my name, address, and telephone number. He called me with the same threats as before and now I was forced to ignore his phone calls. Did that stop him?? Hell no! He used my information to find out where I worked and called my boss. Yes, my boss. He told my boss that I was a criminal and that I had HIS stolen property in my possession. Well, of course I had to explain to my boss what really happened and that this guy was an eBay nutcase. When my boss found out that this was over a few video games he had a good laugh. After about two weeks the guy finally stopped harassing me. I was able to dig up some info on the guy and I found this. He is a Captain so I should have known not to F*** with him.

He had no business doing that without your permission. Those must have been some damn good Amiga games!

AtariLeaf
I put the buyer in the original post in my blocked list so thank you. I had an interesting one many years ago, my wife used to buy used baby clothes from a seller in my area, probably about a half hour drive from me so we would pick stuff up and save on shipping. Because of this we bought a lot from this particular seller. The same seller also sold video games, nothing that I bought but he did sell some PS1 games, I believe, to someone on the US. This buyer claimed the seller sent him games covered in peanut butter. So I guess the buyer and seller went back and forth for a while in emails and the seller refused to refund because of this ridiculous claim. Here's where it gets weird - At the same time I'm selling some of my games on ebay. Suddenly I get all kinds of bids from the same person - Mr. Peanut Butter. He found my ebay username from the sellers list (I believe back then usernames were public?) In any case he found me because I bought a lot from that same seller and he claimed that I was the same person as the buyer under a different name. Maybe he assumed I was a shill bidder, I don't know. As mentioned above he got my name address and phone number and started calling me, sometimes in the middle of the night. Some were weird like pretending to be the police and accusing me of having child porn. I had to change my phone number and cancel all my auctions because he'd just bid insane amounts and win them all. I tried blocking him and he just created a new account and did the same thing. I gave up on ebay for years because of that idiot. I should find my old post on this because I think someone else had a run in with this same moron for the same reason - he believed every buyer from the original seller was just a shill account so he harrassed everyone who bought from him demanding his money back for his peanut butter ps1 games. The worst part - all this trouble and those damn games were only worth $10 shipped.
