tidjo12
I need help for a colecovision repair. When I plug any controllers on port 2 of my colecovision, the triggers won't work even if they work in port 1. I've ordered some controller chip and soldered a new one but the triggers still doesn't work. I don't know what to do anymore but I don't want to throw it away and buy another colecovision, this one is important for me. If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time^^
NIAD
You might want to post this question in the CV&ADAM Forum for a better chance at a response. Usually controller port issues are due to faulty Octal Buffer IC chip(s) which are located near each respective DB9 port, but you seem very aware of this already. Beyond that, all I could think of is damage to a trace or maybe something to do with the CV power transformer... sometimes they die a slow death with all kinds of weird issues arising.
