CGE 2014

Went to the CGE site, hoping to find some 7800/XM related pics; only two I came across thus far on the site related to the 7800.

This one:

And this...

:ponder:

Anyone ready to let the cat of the bag for pic 2? :-D

Hard to make out the screen, but it does not look familiar and is running on a stock 7800.

Hopefully more pics (some videos?) will be released soon.

Awesome, sir...Thank You!

Video "28E" - Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest from CPUWIZ's Versaboard (with onboard POKEY) playing with POKEY sound under the XM module.
Video "295" - Beef Drop VE (No onboard POKEY chip) playing with POKEY sounds under the XM module.*
Video "121" - Donkey Kong XM (No onboard POKEY chip) playing with POKEY sounds under the XM module.
Video "DFB" - Beef Drop (Original with POKEY chip onboard) playing under the XM module.

*Side note: A mentioned that high score saving did not appear to be working at this time.

Still would like to know if anyone can state what is displaying from the 7800 regarding the second pic in the OP.

Trebor, that's CGE Adventure for the 2600. They made a game about this guy, who happened to be deaf, who stole all the audio CDs of a podcast one year at a show.

Quite a nice title screen for a 2600 game.

Hang on, were they playing Bentley on the 7800 using a Harmony 2600 cart?

No.

It was running on CPUWIZ's VersaBoard. The same board that will be used to build carts not requiring an XM module for sound in the future.

The test was to see whether that XM unit played the cart without issue (Since there is a POKEY/will be a HOKEY on-board the cart PCB and a POKEY included within the XM module).
