+therealbountybob
The more Zador you play the more you get used to the tiles; key is to give them silly names you know tank, potato with a fish The special tiles pair up in groups so you discover these over time, often when using the Help (press H if you are stuck in game).... I've added more Zador links, info, video etc to the first post - KE Soft's web site has have a revision B of Zador so will download that to see what's what. Couldn't seem to run the game on Altirra but is ok on real hardware. First tables tomorrow, Have Fun

powersoft
@TRBB: ZADOR II is the same but different. It is the totally same game, but plays different. It starts with smaller level size and getting harder really soon with the time limit.

McKong
Had my first serious go on Yoomp. Played for a while the other day and couldn't get into it. Didn't think I was going to like it, but just had a longer go and now I've got used to the way it plays I like it a lot Level 8 5336

adam242
Zenji - 9490 Zador - 1080 I'll get better at this when I start remembering which tiles pair with non-identical tiles! @trbb - that old 910 score is not a level one score - it's my old overall. 8BIT 1337
New Yoomp high score for me: 9442 I just thought of something yesterday: couldn't the slower speed of the PAL version give users in Zador an advantage? I can barely scrape through the first level (admittedly that's because I'm still not entirely sure how all the special tiles match up so I make it harder on myself). But it looks like I'm the only NTSC player to do so so far, which seems odd. Just a thought - I'll check out the newly updated info on the main post for sure. I did wonder about this - often timer based games have serious differences between the systems... NTSC guys may have to resort to the emulator for Zador but I didn't seem to get it to run on Altirra? Yoomp 5,871 (Level 9) I'd better update the tables and add up the Team Yoompathon scores
+therealbountybob
Zador "Rev B" = "Zador II" and is now bonus game for anyone loving Zador. 8BIT 1337
New Zador Score: 1860. And yes, that was using PAL instead of NTSC. You definitely have *way* more time on PAL vs NTSC. I made it to level 3 on my second game (and I can *barely* get through the 1st level when I play NTSC). I was running Atari800 in Linux. Looks like it will run on Atari800Win 4.1 as well.
