legion
Hi I'm kinda new to the Atari scene (I owned C= computers in my earlier days). Anyhow, I picked up a 600XL at an auction sale for $5 =) its a neat little unit. My question is: What kinds of cartridges fit in the slot? Is it for 5200 games? Nukey Shay
Nope...the 5200's are specifically made for the 5200. Computer games are commonly referred to as 8-bit or 400/800 (smaller carts...about the size of a pack of Lucky's). 5200, 2600, 7800, etc. won't work. Shawn Jefferson
No, the 8-bit had its own cartridges. Most 5200 games were ported over to the 8-bit, but not available in cart form. The 600XL only has 16k.
Inky
Most atari 8 bit computer carts fit in it. YOu may want to look at ebay, cuz there seems to be a plethora of them on there right now. Get missle command for it! It rules!
Nukey Shay
Oh, and the carts themselves will usually have "Left Cartridge" printed on the top side of them. This is normal and nothing to worry about (the 800 computer had two cartridge slots).
