Hello, I'm coleco82 for those that do not know me. I wanted to know if the Atari 7800 rev 2 composite video mod is worth it?

Does anyone have one of these? If so does it make a worthy Atari 7800 as far as a av modded Atari 7800 goes?

If it is a good purchase I'll buy it. Av is easier to work with on both TVs in my apt.

Sincerely,

Coleco82

Absolutely and highly recommended. This topic has come up a few times on these board. My personal experience was receiving a like-new nearly flawless appearing console. It shipped fast and was wrapped like something going to Fort Knox. Video and audio are great, providing a huge improvement over the stock RF. Very satisfied customer to say the least.

If you plan on utilizing the console on a modern/HD TV though, be warned that some devices handle the composite signal better than others. In general, if you have other consoles connected via composite displaying fine, the Best 7800 rev 2 composite video mod console should perform just as well.

I bought one recently and absolutely love it. Looked brand new, had all the paperwork including warranty card and came in a box sealed with Atari tamper-proof tape. Awesome. I got it with the Euro joypad... Not great but better than the standard pro controllers, imho.
