avsdoda
I just dug out an old SF314 floppy drive of mine from storage, and this part fell out after it rattled loose. Any idea of what its for or where it goes inside the drive?
Justin Payne
Looks like there are some members that have access to the service manuals here (http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20337) I tried to searching for this manual with no luck so it seems we need a location for these docs. Tillek
Ummmmm...... Is this a serious thread? I mean, I thought it was like a joke at first (no offense intended if it wasn't). That's a heat sink, used generally when soldering. One like that came in my computer repair kit from the 90's. Basically, the surgeon left his watch in the patient. eeun
Heh...yep, there's one in the drawer beside my spare soldering tips. Consider it a bonus. It's like buying a used car and getting a free "Best of Queen" cassette left behind in the deck.

There is no way a "free" heat sink would be as epic as THAT!
