Retro Lord
I've been working on a concept for a while and I'm looking for feedback. It's a fighter, you'r in a temple punching some dudes, and they punch you back. They get faster the more you beat, beat them all and you get a victory pose then it starts over. No titlescreen and no game over yet due to it being in a testing demo phase still. What do you like, what don't you like, what could make it more fun? Your input is important =) Walk left and right, you can't pass the pillars. If you move outside the screen on the sides without the pillars you shift level. gauauu
What do you like, what don't you like, what could make it more fun? Hmmm, most of the game involves slowly walking back and forth between the top and bottom sections. It really either needs something else (obstacles, etc) or just let you start near the guy so you spend more time punching.

Retro Lord
Well, I've re-written the whole game, now it's like a mix between Pitfall and Kung Fu Master. Run from left to right, punch badguys and jump over pits. I think this has some neat potential. I just need to make a boss at the end, and maybe some fruit that you collect too refill your time alá Adventure Island. Hm... gauauu
MUCH better. My only beef now is that enemies can spawn so close to you on the right side of the screen, which are about impossible to kill. Oh, and it could really use some more color on the background. Retro Lord
Yeah, you are right. =)
Retro Lord
Okay. I put in more colors. But I didn't do anything about the enemies, I didn't find any problem with them personaly. My strategy is to go to the right side as close as I can get and still be comfortable with their speed, then when they start running in from the left side that's when I move to the next screen. =)

Retro Lord
Glad to hear it. On the next version I'll add the titlesreen, gameover and a boss. I just gotta think up a good name for it first.
Papa
Fun little puncher. I like that they come from both sides and have a sense of randomness.
Retro Lord
Cheers. This might not get finished, it was mostly a demo to see if I could do a fighter styled engine.
