I made a test page with the table of contents and the index next to each other at the bottom of the page:

I know that most votes in another thread were for keeping the index on the side, but I thought that a test page where you can see a working example might be helpful.

I can live with whatever changes you make, but I use 3 1920x1080 monitors, lots of wasted horizontal grey space.

Not much I can do about that. Some web sites have the ability to shrink and stretch, but a lot of stuff on the bB page would get screwed up if that happened. Also, line length as wide as an elephant's butt is hard for most people to read.

Thanks. I maintain it, but I didn't really make it. Probably over 90 percent of the text on the bB page was written by batari. Some text is from AtariAge members such as SeaGtGruff, RevEng, and Robert M.
