Noah98
I have a broken 7800 controller and a pack of 620 ohm resistors. I'd like to order some arcade buttons and a joystick and make an arcade stick. I've seen faqs (saw the 7800 faq here) and other diagrams for the wiring, but I'm still confused. Can someone help me make sense of this? I know the following: White = up Blue = down Green = left Brown = right Red = right button orange = both buttons Black = ground Yellow = left button What I'm confused about: What wires do I solder the resistors to? Do I just solder one resistor to Red, and one resistor to Yellow and then connect them to the respective buttons? Then, how to I handle both buttons for the orange wire? Do I just wire my two arcade buttons together without resistors to the orange wire? So confused! Any help would be appreciated.
bradd1978
The red and yellow wires connect to their respected buttons. Then attach a 620 ohm resistor from each button to ground. The orange wire is ground for both buttons, so that will attach to each button as well but on the opposite side, if using an arcade button. Hope that makes sense :-)
