kodak80
For those interested, I am in the process of creating a full archive of the Atari ST Review (UK) magazines. There were 35 issues and I could not find them on the Internet. I have purchased most issues and I am scanning and uploading them as PDF files available on my website: http://www.chillichai.com/atari-st-review Enjoy.

galax
I'd forgotten about this magazine- I definitely bought it off and on for a year or two. I love that someone filled in the survey in issue 1! I'd been wondering for a while where I read about this device, that was shown in issue 1: I was and still am tempted to build my own Thanks! kodak80
It certainly looks an interesting device. With regards to the survey pages in issue 1, I have fixed these so the survey is now blank and will be reloading the issue 1 PDF on the website in a bit. I am also going to optimize the PDF so it will be a bit smaller but still be a good quality.
+DarkLord
Has anyone ever gotten their hands on one of these and used it? Looks like the X controllers, sort of... weren't they available for a wide range of computers?
AtariGeezer
By looking at the description of the number of in/out bits, it appears to use the printer port?

kodak80
ISSUE 02 UPDATED: Anyone read through issue 02 yet? I did today and page 86 didn't turn out to be 86! The PDF I had available is missing 2 pages which I hadn't scanned.I have now scanned the missing pages (82 & 83) and recreated the PDF file. I have also OCR'd the new version so that it contains selectable text rather than just scanned images. The updated PDF is now available on the website. +remowilliams
Are the rest of the issues OCR'ed? I had grabbed a few and they didn't seem to be, and when I went to OCR them I found out that they are unfortunately password protected... kodak80
No, the other issues are just scanned images in PDF format. I only recently found the feature in Adobe Acrobat to OCR so did it for issue 2. I will probably do the other issues if this is what people want?
+remowilliams
OCR is very handy for searching lots of articles/magazines/etc - just be sure you use 'searchable image exact, no downsample' OCR for this type of stuff. I've done a lot of scanning myself...
kodak80
OK, I will work through them and OCR them. As you say, it is handy to select the text and search. I will let everyone know when they are done and uploaded.
kodak80
ISSUES UPDATED: Due to a request, issues on the website (that are currently available) up to and including issue 14 have been reloaded as OCR'd PDF versions so they now have searchable text in them. I will be updating the others over the weekend.
kodak80
ISSUES UPDATED: I have now re-uploaded the remainder of the PDFs (currently available on the website) which contain text now. They are now bigger though. I have not OCR'd issue 34 as it doesn't want to play nice. I will need to look at this issue next week.DISK UPDATED: I have checked disk 2 from issue 06 and found that the file JAMES.ACC was in the root of the floppy. It should have been in the JAMES12 folder. I have now uploaded a correct MSA for this disk.I have also added a content summary at the top of the Cover Disk download page to help with checking what is on each disk.
