+wongojack
I have a search pattern where I look for Ebay auctions where the seller lists their location as within 40 miles of me. This feel more like thrift shopping than surfing Ebay, and I occasionally find stuff that I bid on (usually low). Every time, I email the seller and ask if they will do local pickup. Well, this guy told me no local pickup, but I bid anyway thinking I'd lose the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171770801265?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I won with the opening bid - comes out to just over $1 per cart which I can live with. There are some that usually go for more than $1 in there. There are also a few in there I don't have and some label variants that are kind of interesting. Anyway, after I won, I contacted him and basically begged him to meet me locally. He fessed up that these games are not at "That Location" so he couldn't meet me with them. He did cut the shipping in half though because they are apparently close by in Arkansas.
+wongojack
Interesting update to this - Box was partially crushed when arrived - no real internal packing to keep the carts from moving around. I contacted the seller and suggested a 50% refund and she agreed, but I actually ended up with a 100% refund! I don't really understand why. I got Kung Fu Master, Ghostbusters, and DK Jr to work. I didn't have those. Mario Bros needed some repair as the board was crooked in the case. I had to open it, but I got it to work too. Haven't messed with the rest. Many are post '86 labels which I don't have, so that is kinda nice.
