Christophero Sly
Can anyone help me fill out a list of official arcade conversion titles available on the 8-bits, but not on the 5200 or 7800. I can only come up with three: Track and Field Spy Hunter Super Zaxxon I'm just interested in official releases, not in prototypes (Track and Field). +davidcalgary29
Don't forget my favourites: "Pooyan" "Mr. Do!" (though this is on the 2600) "The Goonies" (not sure if this was based on the arcade, though)
Christophero Sly
"Pooyan""Mr. Do!" (though this is on the 2600) "The Goonies" (not sure if this was based on the arcade, though) Oh, I meant titles available on cartridge for the 8-bits. Sorry, I should have been more specific. +davidcalgary29
"Space Invaders"
Nukey Shay
The Goonies is not based on the arcade platformer...it's a cross between an adventure game and a puzzle game.
NE146
How could you forget DONKEY KONG And I think Pooyan et. al. should be included as well. I mean cartridge or not, those were full blown arcade translations for the 8-Bit.
Christophero Sly
"Space Invaders" There is a Space Invaders for 5200 How could you forget DONKEY KONG There is a Donkey Kong for 7800

Shannon
Bing Bang zooooom Well I take a shot at this and compare it to an internet 8-bit CART list, but be forewarned. There were tons of arcade translations for the 8-bit that didn't make it to cartridge (only cass or disk). battlezone, crystal castles, boulder dash (started out on pc's first turned into arcade game), deluxe invaders (although not truly based on the arcade it is a "much better" version than the official atari version), spy hunter, super zaxxon. Pirate carts... Jr. Pacman (you can get a 5200 version here at atariage), super pac-man. Like I said though there are tons of disc/cass releases.
