Opry99er
Wife and I are currently taking the plunge into home ownership.... Today we started the "hyper-save-mode" thing where we eat bologna and rice and cut out all unnecessary purchases... We are trying to put together the cash for our down payment so... All discretionary spending MUST be accompanied by an equal liquidation of assets. I am currently trying to buy a few hobby things (TI related) and, therefore, need to liquidate some stuff. If anyone has need for TI-branded PEB cards, semi-rare game cartridges (Funware, Romox, etc), or collectible vintage baseball cards, PM me. I also have an MBX I don't really want to part with, but if the offer is right... I want to avoid using eBay in order to keep the stuff in the community, but this is about the cash. Thanks in advance.
Opry99er
Also have some original SNES RPGs... FFII and FFIII.
Opry99er
Just made an offer on a house. Absolutely beautiful home. Now I need to come up with MORE cash, as this house is waaay at the top of our budget. That said, the MBX is officially for sale. I also have 3 MBX carts and the Championship Baseball overlay to go with the cart. Also considering moving my prized Funware collection. open to offers on the MBX set. Please respond via PM.

Opry99er
All peripheral expansion cards are spoken for. Few carts are gone, but some still available. MBX also still available.
Opry99er
All the best! Thanks Howie!! I am selling off what I can live without (temporarily) in order to fulfill a couple purchase obligations for TI related stuff. I had planned on spending the money I have in the bank, but now I do not have that option. LOL!! I may end up selling more stuff too to help with the down payment. My fishing boat is one of them.... Opry99er
http://u.zillow.com/p2qDDp Check it out for yourself. The pictures do NOT do this place justice... It is truly epic in scope and size. We put the written offer in today. One benefit of living where we live... Real estate is EXTREMELY affordable. This place with this view in Colorado would be 3-4 times the amount it is here. Edited June 18, 2015 by Opry99er
Omega-TI
Cool, good luck. It looks like you can get more bang for your buck in that part of the country. Is this where the TI-Shrine will reside? I love that view off the deck!
Opry99er
There is a better picture of the view off the deck. This pic is just a pic of the deck itself. The TI shrine will actually be in the same area of the house (basement) but a different side. There is a pic of it, but it just shows one corner. Thanks for posting the pics. I'd hsve done it myself (with more pics), but I am on my phone. Haven't touched my computer in 2 days.
Omega-TI
Well, you will have to get on you computer and watch Vorticon's video again so you can match up the wall paper!
Opry99er
No freakin' kidding, huh?! It is all up to the seller now. If our offer gets accepted, then it goes to our broker to get us the loan. Tons of pieces have to fall into place for this to work.

+Lee Stewart
Offer was accepted by the seller!!! Now it comes down to financing and down payment. Cool beans! I remember my first house—1967 it was—$13,500 as I recall. Not sure how that translates into today's dollars; but, it was every bit the roller-coaster ride you are on! ...lee
Opry99er
Nice! Curious as to the percentage difference between asking price and your offer was... We offered the asking price... Seller to pay ALL closing costs up to $5000. There were two other offers in, and I didn't want to play games...

+mizapf
Funnily, I'm currently also striving to buy an apartment in Nuremberg, after renting a small apartment for almost 3 years now. As a consequence of the low interest rates for assets, people are moving their money into "concrete gold", as real estate is sometimes called here. Me, I'd just love to get my own home. Not quite a view like the one above, it seems as if I'll have to get along with a small garden and 95 sq meters for over €200000.
