+wood_jl
The only thing I can think of would be to acquire - and modify (if possible) something like the "Monitor Master" from Practical Peripherals. As you probably know, different lines were connected when either color or monochrome were connected. If you hit the button while the system is on (I didn't like doing that), the system would reboot. However, the Monitor Master has the rare 13-pin connectors, and could *possibly* be re-wired and repurposed to switch between 2 computers, with additional cabling. However, it would probably be easier and just as cheap to buy a 2nd SC1224, if you bide your time and wait for a bargain.
walter_J64bit
I've got the Monitor Master too bad it didn't work like I want. The only use I've ever got out the Monitor Master is that handy audio out, I'd have my old 1040STfm hooked up to a boom box back in the day! Kylev
Monitor Master was a god-send for me, back in the day. I had both SC???? and the SM???? (I forget the numbers for the monochrome and color models). I had a number of programs that just looked better in monochrome. Not having to shutdown, unplug the monitor, plug in the other one, and reboot really made life much simpler. Not sure how that device would fit in the scenario of the OP, though. locnar77
I have a monitor master too, and a JVC sc1224 monitor, so i hooked the monitor master backwards to see if it would work, it does on the color side, but no signal on the mono side. (must only uses the basic pinout on that side)
