Caterpiggle
Hello to to you all, I need to know if I take internal keyboard from Atari 1040STfm or m and move into Falcon 030. Will it work on Falcon 030 with 1040STfm or m keyboard version ?? Because 1040STfm or m has internal 2 mouse ports as well on Falcon 030 does have that , too. Next, on Falcon 030 side, the drive 1.44 mb drive is no good to get work on my Falcon 030. So I need to know WHICH model of ANY ST drive that have 1.44 Mb and will work into Falcon from those ST computers ?
ParanoidLittleMan
Keyboard from ST or STE with internal floppy is OK for Falcon. Even 9-pin ports are same. It is not 2 mouse port, but 1 mouse+ 1 joystick, or 2 joysticks. 1040 was never equipped by factory with 1.44 (HD) floppy drive. You can use even newer PC floppy drive after setting jumpers properly, or slight mod on cable. Your post is really messy. Try to write more clean, and do some search - this things are pretty much basic.
exxosuk
My favourite is always the MPF920 drive. http://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/drive-mod/main.htm , as PLM said above, ST's don't use 1.44 by default, they use 720K DSDD drive normally, Falcon should use DSHD (1.44) such as the MPF920 series.
