Linndrum
Since we're never getting a lynx version? I've started remaking the music with Pokey(mp3 sample attached) if anyone is game for an XM version? The arcade game already used the YM2151 so let's pokey it up! Rolling Thunder 1.mp3
imstarryeyed
Rolling thunder would be great to play on the 7800 or the colecovision, I loved that game. Good suggestion..
DracIsBack
It could probably do a credible version of it.
Linndrum
If someone could knock up a sprite and some background I'd give it a go.
Lynxpro
Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest, Tower Toppler, Scrapyard Dog, Impossible Mission, and Missing in Action all suggest Rolling Thunder would be possible on the 7800. I know back in the day, it was one of the titles I wrote into Atari Corp asking for them to license it for the 7800… Loved that game…and not one of the platform ports of it is any good in my opinion [certainly not the NES, Atari ST, or Amiga ports]. Linndrum
Yeah none of the ports have the right feel. I think the japanese NES version was the best overall but I grew up with the awful C64 version.

I wouldn't go that far. The Namco/Tengen - well, Tengen only marketed it here - version is wholly NES-ified. And you really need the NES Advantage joystick to play it. Linndrum
Nah I can rock that version with the regular gamepad!
