Mitkraft
Not too long ago I didn't even own a heavy sixer. First I found my keeper and then quickly stumbled across two more. One I bought for the sears controllers it came with (my keeper is a tele-games) and the other I found on craigslist and grabbed for the CX-10's. I'm selling one of the two here (buyers choice) along with a pair of original CX-10's, Paddles, driving controllers and a few games. Auction started at 99 cents with no reserve and free shipping! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 301710555850 Edited August 12, 2015 by Mitkraft
Mitkraft
I forgot to mention that the CX-10's have hex disks.
+sramirez2008
Sweet! I've been looking for a heavy sixer. Placed my bid from Kingwood TX.
Mitkraft
Not sure if you saw, but since shipping is free, local pickup comes with a $15 refund.
+sramirez2008
Yup...I appreciate that. Thanks for posting a notice here. I've been hesitant to buy one on eBay, but I trust our community. Thanks for making them available.
Mitkraft
If someone local wins it and goes for the tele-games unit they should snag the $30 lot on Craigslist that some guy has that included a tele-games storage center. He's selling it with a handfull of games, some controllers (not all complete) and an untested 4 switch & Jr. When I settled on my Tele-games heavy I was siked to get a Tele-game center and some Sears branded controller. It just seems cool, to have a complete set. I'll snag Sears/Tele-games carts here and there and maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to find some CX-10's with Sears hex disks! Mitkraft
I also just realized that I was selling a console with paddles but no paddle games. I'm correcting that mistake by including a copy fo Kaboom! also. Seems to be everybodies favorite Atari Paddle game.

iesposta
I forgot to mention that the CX-10's have hex disks. Only the 2nd time I've seen hex discs on ebay! FYI, in your auction, Blackjack, Circus Atari, and Video Olympics are all paddle games. And Kaboom!

Oh well, everybody loves Kabbom! Yeah, I was pretty bummed when the auction was stalled at $62. I'd pay that price just for the joysticks! I'm holding out hope of either finding some Sears CX-10's some day or some good repro Sears hex disks. Otherwise I'd keep these.
Mitkraft
I'm still hanging in there. You know you want it. You wouldn't even have to wait for the mail man! Heck if it's local pickup I'll even throw in a 27" CRT that I originally picked up for consoles gaming. I ended up getting a different one so I don't need it.

iesposta
Nice sramirez2008! I have some CX-10's, some I paid a lot for, but never had a hex disc until a few days ago I won an auction and overpaid, althought maybe not as much as I previously thought. I did get an original Chess Piece Box, an early serial number Heavy Sixer (this new 6'er will be near the top), a Hex Disc, Atari Logo 1977 Paddles... Make sure to add your serial number and details to the Heavy Sixer Serial Number thread! Make sure it's the new one -- there are two. (I actually made my own hex disc, but the transfer of the black to the metal was only half successful.) I don't think any of my CX-10 operate 100% but they do have the 4 rubber feet. Now I'll need to clean and restore them to working. Happy birthday, by the way. You came into this world just five days before me!
Mitkraft
I'd like to hear how you made your own hex disks. I have a pretty slim chance of finding a set with intact Sears disks so I may have to resort to that.

I have a pretty slim chance of finding a set with intact Sears disks so I may have to resort to that. Depending on how closely you look, they can appear quite good or quite bad. Somewhere on here there is an image or a recreation of them. I flipped the image in Photoshop. I don't remember if I used the laser printer printout or if I photocopied the laser printout. I cut out a square of aluminum from a soda can and used the inside (not printed on side). Then heat a household iron to linen or its hottest setting and simply iron it on to the aluminum. Cut it out, and I touched it up a lot with a black sharpie marker. Same stick, one with flash one without:

This will actually be my second pair of CX-10's, but first set of hex discs. Very happy...can't wait to pick up the system and play it. Thanks again Mitkraft, for making the systems available and providing the community with advance notice. I've been after a heavy sixer for a long time. Now onto my search a 5200! Shawn
Same stick, one with flash one without: image.jpg image.jpg The reproduction ones on ebay might be a better choice if you want a more professional look for your replacement hexes.
