thetallguy24
I only have Plasma TV's, and when I play Warlords on my Atari 7800, its really dark on the bottom and top of the screen. Maybe 1/2" to 1" width. I've adjusted the brightness and tried a separate TV and Atari 7800 with no luck. Is this just a general console issue? Any suggestions to fix this? Would an A/V mod do it? thetallguy24
Malfunctioning cartridge? No I've tested it with several Warlords carts and several 7800 consoles
SoundGammon
Maybe your tv is overscanning...try hooking the 7800 to an older tv and see how it looks.

LaserCat
Your tv should have a "dot by dot" setting or something like that. This will eliminate any overscan. I just do not see overscan being a problem as Warlords was most certainly programmed with overscan in mind as all crts have it.

LaserCat
Unfortunately I do not. My tv is a Pioneer and the it has a "screen size" setting on the remote which offers several options including "dot by dot". It is the only flat panel I have ever owned so maybe I am taking it for granted that other flat panels will have the same option. You could try doing a search for "overscan" or "dot by dot" and include your tvs model number in the search. It is quite possible that someone somewhere has asked the same question as you. +MattelAquarius
Can you change the screen format to 4:3? Try playing with any buttons called screen size, screen fit, zoom, etc. Try googling you model for "Service Menu". There are usually "secret" key combinations to press that will let you enter deeper into the settings and make adjustments. Be very careful not to mess with settings you can't identify. Bad things can happen.
