Sky7
I have a 4 Port 5200 with a likely issue with controller port 1 (or maybe all of them). I have rebuild the two controllers that I have and tested on a another 4 port 5200 and they both work fine. I'm now looking to replace the IC's that control the controller ports. Anyone have any tips on removing the metal shielding without damaging the circuit board? I have twisted all of the little metal tabs so they are straight but the metal shielding will not budge. Trying to pry it off makes me very nervous as it doesn't seem to give and I feel if I apply any additional force, I will damage the circuit board. Any tips?
