Amityville315
I know some of the 400/800 games have been adapted for the 5200 - can all of them make the jump? I was always a fan of the Bruce Lee game (two players with one guy being the green sumo wrestler was always a laugh), so I'd love to see that one. Which games have been successfully transposed for the 5200?
SoundGammon
I believe if the game can be made to work in a 32K rom it should work! If Bruce Lee required 32K ram to run, that would mean 16K was for the game data itself and 16K ram for it to run.
Lynxpro
There's a 512K ROM board out there, so 16K RAM in the 5200 plus the 512K bank switched ROM. From my understanding, a 1MB ROM board would be required for A8 games like Space Harrier to be ported over to the 5200. I'd like to see a RAM upgrade for the 5200 but then the BIOS would have to be tweaked to address that RAM and only have games programmed for it even search for the extra RAM. Then something like the Ultimate 1MB upgrade could be done for the 5200 like its A8 cousins. It's too bad the 5200 doesn't have lines in the cartridge slot to support cartridge based RAM like the 7800. Curt has mentioned the 5200's Expansion Slot could be capable of audio upgrades, but that's about it.
