Tickled_Pink
Just a quick question from a non-Falcon owner (sadly - they're a bit too rich for me). I've noticed that the Falcon uses the DS1287 NVRAM RTC module but many users opt to add the 12887 or even design an entirely different setup altogether. Why is this? There are still stocks of the DS1287 floating around. Is there an issue with the DS1287 that makes Falcon owners jump ship to a different RTC solution? Christos
Main problem, you will need to change it again in 10 years. Also people use what is available to them as long as it's compatible.
