+johnnywc
Hello all - This is my first browse into the 8-bit forum (I spend most of my time in the 2600 section... )and I noticed reference to the XEGS - it sounds pretty cool!!! (I had never heard of it before!) I have an Atari 800xl right now (same one I had back in the early 80's) and was wondering: 1) will my carts from the 800xl work on the XEGS? 2) will my 1050 disk drive work on the XEGS? If so, will the games? 3) is there a list of carts that are available for the XEGS? 4) and finally - is this worth getting? What is the general opinion of the XEGS? Thanks!! Callipygous
XEGS is functionally the same as an 800XL. Actually it is a modified 65XE. Really no need to get one, unless you just like the looks of it because all of the same carts and disk drives will work. Click on my www button for cart lists.
