With the release of GoSub for Intellivision nearing, I thought I'd attempt another port of a game that I thought I could do using Atari 2600 assembly. So I looked through all my Odyssey 2 games I had made throughout the years, and picked the celery one (what can I say? I love the celery.) It also seemed like the one I could do the best on the Atari 2600. So I set out to do it last night. Went to sleep today and woke up a few hours ago. Continued coding. It took a while but I got the score in. It adds as a test to see if it can add well. It does. I have 974 bytes left for the actual game part. Something I think I can do. I am wondering if I could make the missiles be a certain shape instead of a square. I remember reading something about Dolphin's white guys swimming around being the missiles and not players. Coding the score was really tiring since I had to try a certain number of times to successfully get it to show up, and even then, once the ones digit was 6-9, odd lines began to show between the hundreds and the tens digits. But I think I got that solved. I tested the game on my CRT TV. There was an odd red line at the extreme right column of pixels. I don't know why it's there. Is it my TV or the Atari 2600 acting up or is it my program that's to blame? The people next door are having carpet installed. I live in a condominium, so I heard pounding all day on the other side. It made it kind of hard to sleep, but I actually kind of half-slept throughout the day. Woke up really sleepy.
