TheMontezuma
I flashed the file from: http://www.64kib.com/autobuild/20191111/eclaireXL_ITX/build_A2EBAv3rom/output_files/
foft
Yes this is bug, I think dvi works.
TheMontezuma
I rolled back to v35 (http://www.64kib.com/autobuild/20190719/eclaireXL_ITX/) and f9 (reset) works again. Now looking forward for v38
foft
Ah good to know I broke that between v35 and v37. Thanks.
+orpheuswaking
My Eclaire and Eclaire mini are both eagerly awaiting v38...
bocianu
It looks like Eclaire is not reacting to signals PROCEED and INTERRUPT on SIO pins. I'm heavily testing it with #FujiNet interface, and I wrote a piece of code that is supposed to wait for interrupts incoming from the device, and it works like a charm on real hardware, but it hangs on Eclaire in the point of waiting for interrupt. I did this test on both pins - no success. Is it a known issue? Or maybe it just my unit? Edited May 26, 2020 by bocianu typo
+David_P
#FujiNet is one of the first hardware items I know of that uses PROCEED and INTERRUPT; it may be that they are not currently in the Eclaire design. (Only other item I know of is the Atari Zucchini from ANALOG Computing from issue 59ff - see https://www.atarimagazines.com/analog/issue59/bits_pieces.php)

StickJock
The Zucchini! I built one of those back in the late 80s. IIRC, there was some problem with mine where it looked like one of the output pins (I think - it's been over 30 years) was inverted, so it never worked. I never did fix it, nor debug it enough to figure out if it was a software issue or a hardware issue. I remember thinking that if i had the source code, I could easily have inverted the signal in the code to make it work.

venom4728a
Is there a how to document on updating the firmware and or Software on the Eclair XL? I have the single board Eclaire, getting the keyboard lock up after being powered on for awhile also, many times the system does not recognize that a disk change has been made. I noticed it alot using "the Print Shop" by Broderbund. Insert Side A and boot, When it asks for Side B, I would go and change the Atr/x to the side B image but the software keeps asking for side b. Hit Return 10 times then it proceeds. Just want to update to the latest stable release. I love the Eclair XL, so nice and compact!!

bocianu
hello foft, have you seen post #106?
foft
It’s theoretically supported but not sure anything is using is so there is perhaps a mistake on the vhdl. Do you have some test code?
bocianu
yes, but this code uses #FujiNet peripherial, to put signal slope on PROCEED pin: https://gitlab.com/bocianu/fujinet-udp-shoutbox I will prepare something simplier for You, gimmie 10 minutes
bocianu
siofix.passiofix.xex This piece of code will display messages on screen, when it will detect signal slope on PROCEED and INTERRUPT pins. I hope it will help!
foft
Thanks I’ll give that a spin tonight.
mozzwald
Not sure if this would be an issue regarding the FujiNet and eclaire. The FujiNet high output is 3.3V. Is the fpga expecting a higher voltage?
foft
The fpga is 3.3v based lvttl. So 2v is the high input threshold. http://www.interfacebus.com/voltage_LV_threshold.html For output the fpga pin is either low or high impedance, with a pull up to 5V on the other side of a level converting fet switch.
