New Atari 5200 2-Port

Hi everyone, as my first post I figured I'd share my find the other day. I managed to pick up a new Atari 5200 along with 33 complete games. The system box still has all staples intact, but the glue on the sides of the box have come undone and the person had taken it out to show it. I do believe it has never been taken out of the plastic, and still has the registration card and the tie on the cable. The accessories, along with the pacman game, are still in their box and have never been touched as it is still stuck in with the staples. The box definitely has wear, but the system is brand new.

As for games, there were many commons like centipede and Qix, but there were some pretty good ones. Some were Astro Chase, Miner 2049er, Decathalon, and Star Wars Arcade, to name a couple. I definitely feel like the price was fair, as it included a good amount of other stuff, but I figured the new 5200 may be most popular here.

Since I am new to this forum (posting wise), I don not know how to, if I can, post pictures, but I did post some on my Instagram: ETWelty : if you would be interested in seeing it.

Congrats on your new 5200! :)

Thanks, and thanks for the explanation, I will try to next time I'm on a computer (on my phone now)

.....and where did you find this gem???

Oh, and BTW, welcome to AtariAge and welcome specifically to the 5200 forums!!! :)

You're really gonna love being here and playing you (new) system, as am Atarian and a proud 5200 owner since 1983 (USA-made Serial No. 141101, retired just a few months back after obtaining an a/v-modded (audio/S-video/composite video) unit, I can tell you that you'll be very well informed of how great and about the capabilities of your (our) system.

And besides eBay and here at AtariAge in the store, here are a couple more places (online) where you can start your (soon-to-be) massive collection of cartridges and various types of controllers:

HI, and thank you. I'm probably one of the younger Atari fans (in my teens) but it started as I grew up playing my father's 2600. I've had a 5200 for a while, but I've been looking for more complete games for a while (not many come up here). I grabbed this lot from someone who responded to me on Facebook actually. I had tried to negotiate with them in the past on Craigslist, but they didn't budge much. They came down to a much more reasonable price this time though.

Dude that is a totally AWESOME score. What did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? :o

Thanks! I payed $250 for the whole lot, with extra systems thrown in when I got there. I knew about the boxed PS!1, but the PS2 and Dreamcast were thrown in. There was also a free disc 2 of Skies of Arcadia as well. It was a little higher than I would have preferred, but it was still a steal in my opinion.
