+DamonicFury
It took several years, but I finally completed (I think!) the Mean Hamster Software collection for the 5200. This includes the First Star Software conversions: Boulderdash Boulderdash 2 Bristles Flip and Flop Rent Wars And John's own programming efforts: Haunted House 2 Combat 2 AtariTris Klax Gauntlet Considering these had small print runs with only a very few reprints, it took quite some time to get these on Ebay one by one at semi-reasonable prices. I was at least able to get Gauntlet from the man himself during it's 2012 sale period, and three of the First Star titles from Atari2600.com before they sold out. If these games were for a more popular console, I'm sure I'd have had no chance at getting them all considering their rarity! And they're fun games too! Thanks to MHS/John for making these! Wish I had got them all during their initial print runs!
+-^CrossBow^-
Wonder when that HH2 label started to get used? Because the original release of HH2 3D was at CGE 2002 I believe and featured Earl Green's artwork with the two eyes and bowtie. Wonder if either is more or less rare than the other? Pretty sure that original release you are talking about is rarer... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/23699-haunted-house-ii-label/?p=543197 I actually had that one for a while, then decided I'd rather have the one that came with a box when that came up for sale. Not 100% sure that was the right call, but I do like the box.
Goochman
The one in the picture is the original release label - I purchased HH2 when it first came out - the label was changed shortly after. I wonder if sdamon's cart is my old one

+-^CrossBow^-
Before I sold my collection many eons ago, my Combat 2 had a gold label. And yeah, HH2... That is the one I'm thinking of and I'm pretty sure that was the original release with Earl's artwork on it. However.... I was a horrible collector when I got mine. First thing I did when I got home from CGE2k2 was replace the label with my own submission from the contest. So...mine is an original release, but no longer of any value since it no longer has the original label. But I did find the original instructions I got with it recently. Never like that torn off look it had on the top of the manual though. Wasn't sure if that was because they were literally torn off by hand last minute before the show or if that was on purpose for aesthetics? Shawn
And there is also the 5 in 1 multicart from MHS.
0078265317
Pretty sure that original release you are talking about is rarer... Its all going to be rare someday. Just toss it in a metal box and bury it in the back yard. 1000 years from now my great x 10 relatives (nieces and nephews, etc) will be rich. +-^CrossBow^-
I could have sworn I was on a list or something for those 5 in 1s when John was making them, but never received any notice about it. Then I forgot about it completely until it was mentioned in this thread. But again, it doesn't matter since my original HH2 cart no longer has the original label on it anymore. On my cart the label started to peel up badly on the corners and wrinkling. Which, is odd as I've only had one other homebrew cart do this and that is my berzerk VE cart I picked up at the same CGE in 2002. However I still have that one, and may have used some spray adhesive to tack it back down sometime ago. Now only the end label is a pain and curling on the ends... Lynxpro
I wasn't aware of Atari Tris and Klax. I'm assuming Atari Tris is like Atari Games/Tengen Tetris. How good is Klax? I love Klax on the Lynx and the Genesis, as well as the arcade original. Same goes for the Atari Games arcade version of Tetris and the infamous Tengen NES version.
