New Atari Console that Ataribox?

Amazing how all these foundational issues seem to surface months after the basic design is "finished" and the "prototypes" are all over YouTube. It's almost like these guys making Ateriboxen and Polymeggi don't know what they're doing, and are completely fluffing the actual progress.

with apologies to the late Gene Wilder- this scene comes to mind when I see posts on IGG like attached.

Grandpa Joe: Mr. Wonka?
Willy Wonka: [pointedly ignoring him and Charlie] I am extraordinarily busy, sir.
Grandpa Joe: [tentatively] I just wanted to ask about the chocolate. The-the lifetime supply of chocolate, for Charlie. Wh-When does he get it?
Willy Wonka: He doesn't.
Grandpa Joe: Why not?
Willy Wonka: Because he broke the rules.
Grandpa Joe: What rules? We didn't see any rules, did we, Charlie?
[Charlie shakes his head briefly]
Willy Wonka: [springs up from his chair, angrily] Wrong, sir! Wrong! Under section 37B of the contract signed by him, it states quite clearly that all offers shall become null and void if - and you can read it for yourself in this photostatic copy:
[grabs a magnifying glass and reads]
Willy Wonka: I, the undersigned, shall forfeit all rights, privileges, and licenses herein and herein contained, et cetera, et cetera... Fax mentis incendium gloria cultum, et cetera, et cetera... Memo bis punitor delicatum!
[slams the contract copy and the magnifying glass down, continues shouting]
Willy Wonka: It's all there, black and white, clear as crystal! You stole fizzy lifting drinks! You bumped into the ceiling which now has to be washed and sterilized, so you get nothing! You lose! Good day, sir!
[turns back to his work]
Grandpa Joe: [shocked] You're a crook. You're a cheat and a swindler! That's what you are!
[angrily]
Grandpa Joe: How could you do something like this, build up a little boy's hopes and then smash all his dreams to pieces? You're an inhuman monster!
Willy Wonka: [shouts even louder] I said good day!
Grandpa Joe: Come on, Charlie, let's get out of here. I'll get even with him if it's the last thing I'll ever do. If Slugworth wants a Gobstopper, he'll get one.

How can I get a refund?

Simple. Invent the flux capacitor, attach it to a DeLorean, steal some plutonium to power the lot, and go back in time to 5 minutes before you gave Atari SA your money. Beat the living crap out of your past self until it's temporarily incapacitated, shouting, "STOP DOING STUPID THINGS!" as you do so. With any luck, not only will you not throw your money away on this particular complete and utter shitshow of a marketing exercise, but you may also succeed in providing suitable negative reinforcement to prevent yourself from doing so again in the future.

"had some back-end issues that need to be sorted out and taking longer than expected," -- it must be, since their last picture was a mobo on bubble wrap ;)

"Back end issues" sounds like they're constipated. You know, full of shit.

Maybe Atari can team up with CIG and port Star Citizen so they have the "killer game". The management styles seem to be about the same.

The key difference is that CIG are good at raising money. They could probably string people along indefinitely with Star Citizen without going broke, where there's only so far Atari can get with $3 million.

At first glance I read "porn Star Citizen"

Was disappointed but then again it could be a promising idea.

I expect the question was: "Will there be any 5200, 7800 and Atari computer games available?" to which they responded again with: It'll have Atari Vault, yeah!

That begs the question, would the current inhabitants of the tanned and oiled Atari skin-suit even have the capability to release a set of games from those platforms akin to Atari Vault?

Did these goobers have anything to do with the creation of the Atari Vault disk, or is that just constant reprints of a prior product made by someone else?

If they have actual rights to the other platform titles, could they muster the brain power to place them on a disk with a front end application to run them?

Based on their performance, I wouldn't be surprised if it's well beyond their capability.

Atari receives "NASDAQ International Select" designation

Claude Leguilloux , published on 03/10/2018 at 07:29

Launched at the end of 2015 by the US marketplace Nasdaq, the "Nasdaq International Designation" program offers a quality label and improves the visibility of foreign equities for US investors.

(Boursier.com) - The Atari Group announces having received affiliation to the "Nasdaq International Select" program. This NASDAQ affiliation, combined with the creation of the PONG-F ticker on the US OTC compartment, aims to facilitate transactions on the Atari share for US investors by allowing them to trade in this market. It does not lead to the creation of additional actions.

In addition, the creation of a new ticker ("PONG-F") on the OTC compartment in the United States allows these investors to benefit from simple administrative procedures, similar to those of US companies, for the purchase / sale of Atari shares.

This affiliation has no impact on the Atari share which remains listed on the Euronext Paris market (Compartment C, code Isin FR0010478248, mnémo ATA) and regulated by the AMF. In particular, the number of shares outstanding and the applicable stock exchange rules remain unchanged.

Frédéric Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer and principal shareholder of Atari, commented: "Atari is a particularly emblematic brand in the US In the face of investor demand, we wanted to have additional visibility in the American community. and have dollar trading mechanisms adapted to these audiences ".
