+DrVenkman
Holy crap, people have been telling me this for years but it took far too long for me to find out for myself. I just got a 5200 and not-quite-working Trak-Ball 2 weeks ago for my birthday. Thanks to Dan Kramer, I was able to repair the Trak-Ball (one bad 4011 chip - 49¢ and voila!). That revealed an issue with one or more of the 4052 chips inside the 5200. I replaced all 5 just in case; another whopping $3.50 worth of parts. Then I found Missile Command at a local shop for $5 or so ... I have played A8 Missile Command with a CX-22 many times but the larger CX-53, combined with the better resolution, is revelatory. As close to arcade-perfect as there is. I am in love. Thanks for letting me gush. (Forgot to pause on the "THE END" screen for a screenshot; had to start a new game to reveal the high score display).
+Cafeman
You're right and few people have experienced it. Try tempest next.
+sramirez2008
Digging that Toshiba! You can play Space Invaders with the TB too.
boxpressed
The TB is fantastic. In an effort to get more arcade-style buttons, I used a Masterplay and added a 2600 arcade stick to the TB. Fun for Centipede.

RangerG
I totally agree and it is a big plus for the 5200 in all of those Atari 8-bit computer vs. the 5200 or why get a 5200 conversations.
BIGHMW
Digging that Toshiba! You can play Space Invaders with the TB too. I myself used to use a Trinitron for that "old-skool" feel, but now I use an Insignia 39" setup, set for fullscreen mode. Today's newer TVs have an edge when it comes to portability, very light and also they don't stick out as much from the wall, as my rack I have my setup on is 16" deep, I have been thinking of using a 19" Insignia (I currently use a 39" unit) and put it just above and behind the controller storage so it will look like it was integrated-in. My old setup, with my original 5200 before I moved and also bought an A/V-modded 5200 to replace it

Venkman, even after all of that gushing, you didn't post a pic of your Trak-Ball here. [yes, you did over at Facebook]...
