Jumpman1981
Hey all. I bought a Game Gear today, and well, something's up with it. all the games are my old PAL ones but the system is NTSC. I've heard that the Game Gear is region free, but mine's is having a issue, the screen is squished and multiplyed 5 times. Also, whenever I turn it on, the whole screen is a load of black and white lines before the multiplied image fades in, almost like an analogue TV tuning into a weak signal. (turning on) (1 minute later) Is this a region lock system I didn't know about or is the GG busted? Any help would be appreciated Edited September 9, 2017 by Jumpman1981

7800fan
It is not region problem, it could be the cap kit was screwed up or a solder broke during shipment.
