silentseal
There is a cib 5200 that looks pretty good with galaxian and pac man for 100 dollars. I don't really know much about it so I want to know if I should get it
oldjd
If its complete and you can verify it works, plug it in power it up etc, offer 75 cash. If he cant/wont let you verify it, then offer$25.00, you could probably sell the parts and get your $$ back
cybercylon
The heavy hitter is the controllers. Do they both work? If not, that is too much. If the seller refuses to let you test it, it is sold as is, or says I have no way to test it, don't even waste the gas, time, and $25. That is just my two cents.
spacecadet
Keep in mind that 5200 controllers are usually really easy and cheap to fix. I wouldn't necessarily turn it down if the controllers are bad, at least if the problem is the buttons. Best case you just need to clean/deoxidize them, worst case you need a $2 flex circuit to bring them back to life. The pots do go too and I'm not sure if those are as easy/cheap, but you should be able to test that. Usually it's the buttons that are the problem, though; I think the pot problems aren't as common. For me, if the controllers just had buttons that won't register, as is really common, I would just use that as a bargaining point. Tell him you have to spend time and money sourcing parts to fix or replace them, but knowing it's going to take you 5 minutes to order the parts online and then 5 minutes installing them.
atari-dna
Easily worth the money. Grab it before it’s gone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
