bigmike
I have a question. I read in the 7800 history section that some games had the pokey chip inside them to improve the sound on the 7800??? thats cool. which games used this?
DracIsBack
Only two games had the POKEY - BALLBLAZER and COMMANDO. You can tell when you play them - the sound is great in both!
JB
Regarding NES/XEGS sound... There was a Ballblazer port to the FamiCom(japanese NES). The sound is pretty inferior. ... Though this may just be because it's a shoddy port.
bigmike
Was the XEGS the same machine as the Atari 130XE Computer? Funny, I assumed when you guys mentioned the XE gaming system it was the 130XE computer, but thats not the case. The XEGS looks totally different. I know they both had the Pokey. Everything based on the Atari 400/800 had POKEY.
