Sean39
Hi everyone I read the post on serial numbers but I am confused. I saw the SV on date codes meant SunnyVale california also EP meant Elpaso Texas ok please help me to understand this I have one 5200 with the serial number SN 0554,937 date code SV-013 which would be the 1st week in 1983 now look at this SN 0051,040 date code SV-063 which is the 6th week in 1983 how could a much lower serial number be built after a much higher serial number system from the same factory ??? My two systems made in Elpasso TX follow sequence SN 013640 date code EP 053 works out to be the 5th week in 1983 SN 022051 date code EP 063 made in the 6th week of 1983 it Just my first two systems in Sunnyvale California make no sense at all. is their a chance the high serial number is from 1982 and the date is wrong. I thought maybe it may of been one of the very last ones made in 1982. Please help
