Genki Posted October 15, 2001 Share Posted October 15, 2001 Radio Shack sometimes have a 25 conductor ribbon cable but it seems to be discontinued so it might be hard to find. Also it's very long. Alternatively you could look around in computer parts and swipe a floppy disk cable. If you don't care for the original looking ribbon cable, any plain wires will do. I find the solid core to be easier than stranded core for this kind of work. You will need to remove the connector on one of the board. Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 hey all) my sunnyvale heavy is in need of a new ribbon as the original ribbon has finally craped out and seperated with the insides coroded into dust(. can i use a ribbon cable from an old pc tower? if so would i need to mod it (the ribbon)? thanks ahead for any advice and have a grateful day...
