RSS Bot
I was extremely bored. So I thought I'd give Doom for the Jaguar another go. I got as far as level 3 when all of a sudden, I kept walking around in circles. I swear I must have killed every single creature there because I had no idea where I was going. After about 20 minutes of this, I fell into the lava and couldn't get out of it. I said "Screw this," and gave up. So why people think that was fun in the '90s is still a mystery to me. I want to love the Jaguar, I really do, but there are almost 0 games I enjoy on it, and I have almost all of them, which is why I went into Jaguar programming, to see if I could make a game that I would enjoy. Which is why I was making Ants. It's a game that I would enjoy playing. And it doesn't involve walking around in circles because every area looks exactly the same and has a useless map because it doesn't have any exit marked. I'm taking a break from City Kitty because I wore out my brain with its programming. Odyssey 2 programming is especially hard because each section is 256 bytes long and you can only use jmp commands to get to other sections. Every other jumping around needs to stay within the boundaries. And it doesn't tell you where those boundaries are. So if you looked at the code, you'd see a whole bunch of routines that only have jump commands in them. Which I suppose is sloppy programming, but hey, IT WORKS (so far.) http://atariage.com/forums/blog/168/entry-14582-doomed/
