OT: RPi WiFi Configuration Help Needed

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I feel like a complete Dufus asking, but when I setup my new Rpi, something went wrong. It connected to the Internet during the setup process, but now after it's been installed, it's not going online. It wants me to "Set "WiFi Country on Localisation tab of Raspberry Pi Configuration to enable Wi-Fi". The problem is, I can't find it.

Could someone give me instructions on how to make what is probably a simple setting? Thanks.

There should be a wireless symbol on the task bar at the top of Raspbian that looks like a wireless signal icon. Click that and a menu should come up to configure WiFi. good article HERE

Also should be in your Raspberry Pi Configuration GUI on Raspbian, there is a localisation tab and you will need to set your WiFi country to US United States.

Don't forget to change the Keyboard layout to English US or you keys will be off like the " key will be the #2 key. That one drove me nuts!
