buddpaul
I own an XE game system and an Atari tape drive........... however, I'm a little fuzzy on some basic functions......such as, if I turn the whole system on, with my tape drive plugged in, to save a program I've written in BASIC, do I simply turn on record on the tape drive (with a tape in), or is there something else involved in the process? Any links to an XE system manual or a tape drive manual? thanks
Goochman
I believe you need to use the CSAVE and CLOAD in order to get this to work on the tape. If you turn your Atari on with the START key held down it will 'boot' from the tape device
Shannon
Make sure there is a tape in the recorder, set to the position where you want the save to start. Press pause on the tape recorder, press the record button down. Type csave on your computer. Release the pause button, press any key on your computer to start saving. Make sure if your at the beginning of the tape you manually rotate it past the lead on the tape, or else your save may not work.
