SoulBuster
I acquired a Mega 4 that has two mods in it. 1. AdSpeed St 2. DigiDesign Sound Accelerator I found the software that each needs and the manual for the AdSpeed. I have two questions 1. Does anyone have or know where I can get the manual for the DigiDesign Sound Accelerator? 2. Why does it show nearly 14 megs of RAM in this computer. It does not look like it had a memory upgrade. Stock Mega 4 Modded Mega 4 Pic of Mods As you can see it is a nice clean installation. The computer is very stable. Case needs cleaning bad though. ParanoidLittleMan
Incorrect ST RAM size indication indicates some error. And ST RAM can be max 4 MB.
SoulBuster
The AdSpeed has cache memory. I wonder if that is throwing the amount off? It does show that there is only the remainder of 4 megs free. In any case, I have not run into any errors with anything I have run, limited as that is. No bombs have popped up. Access to floppy and Hard Drive works well. Video adapter from Exxos site works as expected. I have attached the manual if anyone is interested. The pages are in jpg format. I did not create it, I just zipped it up as is. AdSpeed ST Manual.zip
DarkLord
I have an AdSpeed board in my Mega ST4 that runs my BBS. I don't recall any software incorrectly showing the memory size. Something odd there.
SoulBuster
I will have to play with it some more. I used SysInfo. It also has the DigiDesign Sound Accelerator board installed. I will recheck it without that board in place.
DarkLord
Try the benchmarking software from Exxos and see if you get the same results.
SoulBuster
Try the benchmarking software from Exxos and see if you get the same results. I'll give that a shot. Had no time this last week to work on it.
