gorfcadet
I dont usually upload two days in a row, but I think this qualifies as a special occasion! Soooo good! Since this isnt the main thread for this, what about we use this to post our high scores and strategies?
Lord Thag
This looks phenomenal. Super impressed. You do realize you've pretty much single-handedly made the 7800 THE Pac-Man home console of choice. Hell, the only classic Pac Man game it's missing now is the uber-obscure Pan and Pal. Great work!
gambler172
Bob and Kurt did a great job.....but the game itself is too heavy....a Pav Man game with no powerpills is not a Pac Man game for me.So i call it ONLY a good game.... But reason is the original arcade...not Bob and Kurt's wonderful work.I played the original in a pub and i was disappointed....too difficult. So it is unfortunately not.MY game.
Swami
Finally broke half a million!!! Hints: 1. Keep your eyes on the flippers, not the table and ball, and use peripheral vision for targets and hitting ball. 2. Don't use the painline controller. Use some kind of flatish pad with buttons on top so you can use one thumb for each button or something like that.
gorfcadet
What made this feel the best to me was using my SEGA Saturn USB pad and mapping button 1 and 2 to the shoulders. That felt like the most natural place for left and right flippers to be. I wish I had a 7800 pad with shoulders in that position. A SNES pad adapter would work or a Playstation adapter that would allow the shoulders to be button 1 and 2.
Baby Blue Azure
Nice job [again] GorfCadet. I haven't played the game much myself yet and already posted my highest score ever [on any game on any machine] on the other end. Sure the maze game is better with the energizers. The Play Type variable allows us to choose PIN, VIDEO ONLY, or FULL GAME. In the VIDEO ONLY you've got energizers full time so it makes it easy to practice your game play the wrong way. As we know, programmer Bob has a way to be constrained to the original designs and that's why you don't have the 'cheat' to have energizers in the maze full time. But I'm sure if you type in Pi [that 3.141592654 number] to 32 digits you should have energizers full time (!,?). Here is the video that shows how you play the PIN to gain energizers on the arcade game. Regardless, BPM is a phenomenal game. /BBA
