+Random Terrain
How could I forget Krull? I know that had randomness and if it didn't have that stupid spider screen, it would have been a lot more fun to play. I wish there was an easy way to extract parts of games you hate and just leave in the good stuff.
The Eidolon
I believe some the Starpath/Arcadia Supercharger games include randomness. For example: The locations of the "keys" and "holes" in Escape from the Mindmaster The effects of the magic items in Dragonstomper (1st load stage) Oddly enough, this ramdomness seems not to show up in my emulated versions of the game, but does on a real Atari. --The Eidolon
Happy_Dude
Centipede seems pretty random
candiru
Isn't there a side-scrolling shooter (ok, maybe not truly side-scrolling before all you techies jump me ) that generates a somewhat random landscape and enemies? I seem to recall that being mentioned in an AA thread before. Maybe someone else remembers. I don't think anyone said Human Cannonball yet. That generates random values for wind and elevation. Christophero Sly
Remergence from hyperspace in Asteroids seems to be randomly determined.
rasty
I'd bet Slot Machine includes some degree of randomness as well Rasty.-
Thomas Jentzsch
Space Treat Deluxe has random elements too And Thrust too. I bet most of the games have some kind of randomnes. It's cheap, makes the gameplay less predictable and adds some extra fun. And I think it's easier to make a list of games without any randomnes (like Pitfall!).
