Randy
Hi all, with this apart now, a couple of questions to ask. I note a square silk screen in lower right corner that is unpopulated, is that for a socket to install the blitter chip? Also, can the original 256 k memory chips be removed and replace with 1 meg chips to get 4 meg in this machine? Thanks!
ParanoidLittleMan
Yeah, that's place for blitter . You can not just replace RAM chips, those for 4 MB have more pins. And likely will need to solder 1 wire to bottom of mainboard, because highest address line MAD9 is not accessible on top side. Usually RAM expansion in STs goes with board with RAM chips + lot of soldering.

I really want an ST that handles demos and works for some productivity as well. And sorry to hijaak the thread.
