BassGuitari
Every time I see a Blackjack cartridge (text), or get Blackjack with a lot of other carts, it ALWAYS is missing the end-label. I have 2 Atari Blackjacks that required the end-label to be glued back on, and a Sears version that has none at all. What the hell? None of my other carts are like this. Anyone else experience this? Christophero Sly
I'm sure it's just coincidence, but, yes, oddly enough, I have a Sears text and an Atari Picture Blackjack, both without end labels.
JB
I too own a bald Blackjack. Only one in my collection that needs a toupee.

I wasn't aware of an Atari picture label of BlackJack. I know of the Sears picture label version though. Doug
Christophero Sly
I wasn't aware of an Atari picture label of BlackJack. Here is a photo. I couldn't find a listing for it in the rarity guide. Blackjack is one of the few games originally with text labels only. These games were re-released in 1986 with picture labels. I think the only other games that were text only prior to 1986 are: Flag Capture, Fun With Numbers, and Game Of Concentration. One question: After Casino was available, why bother re-releasing Blackjack?
Mr.FoodMonster
wow, mine is as well. this may be from the fact it was shipped from texas, and the heat was around 100 plus high humidity and such, but i do to. whats the best stuff to use for re-attaching end labels? there are a few games of mine that they fell off, but i still have them sitting right next to the box. i dont know if certain glues leave acid or that kind of thing, so whats the best? thanks
Brad2600
I have several text label games that are missing end labels..but Blackjack is not among them. However, I might need to replace certain carts based on the fact that the labels are in horrible condition.
figgler
I have the text label too and she's near to perfect. Never had an end label come off (yet) I do tho have a couple atari picture carts where the end label is ripped horizontally thru the middle. How does that happen? MegaManFan
A lot of my text label carts seem to be shedding their end labels, but I suspect it's because they're almost 25 years old. I just bust out the glue stick and put 'em back on.
JB
wow, mine is as well. this may be from the fact it was shipped from texas, and the heat was around 100 plus high humidity and such, ... Doubtful. The guy I got Blackjack from had stored ALL his VCS stuff ina suitcase in his attic. So they were bathing in 125 or so. I got the whole box, sans a few joysticks. ... Backjack is the only one of the bunch to lose a label.

It's always very cool to see a new label variation for the first time Now I have to be on the hunt for that version too Doug
Room 34
There are several of these Tramiel-era shoddy picture label re-releases out there, none (or few) of which are in the AA rarity guide. I think they're all in the Giant List of 2600 Label Variations though.
cryptik76
I have a Ms. Pac-Man that somehow lost its end label, but that's the only one I've had do that.
ApolloBoy
Funny thing you should ask, because my Blackjack's also missing its end label.
GruBBworM
I got a sears TELE- GAMES 3 with end label intact: also I got a SEARS TELE-GAMES picture label date 1977 4975602 both end labels intact :-)
Brad2600
I just remember that I don't even have Blackjack. My error. Eh well. When you've got close to 200 games, sometimes have to check the old collection list to be sure.
Smada Bez
Well, I just checked and I also have a blackjack without an end label.
