Move away from EEPROM

Recommended Posts

Has there been any upgrades to the TOS chips that would allow for something that could be programmed with AVR? So a PCB interface to allow for an Atmega chip(s) to emulate?

Would seem that it would be a mighty undertaking but...

if what I speak of is heresy sorry. just trying to keep the system working well. ?

Thank you for the clarification on those. Forgive my ignorance in this matter. I am wondering if TOS can be stored on a IC that could be programmed with AVR? Then creating a PCB to interface with the motherboard to accommodate the new IC to EPROM that the Atari could read. If EPROM is all that the system could handle then the question is moot.
