Tickled_Pink
Having some fun with BB. Got my player zooming around the screen to joystick commands. Added thruster animation and even some simple gravity. All in a couple of hours last night. I want to add borders to the side but noticed that, in Stella at least, the edges of the playfield are actually quite far in from the edge of the actual screen. I thought that the playfield was 40 pixels wide? There appears to be enough room on either side for an extra 3 pixels each side. Any reason why they're tucked in a little? KevKelley
I thought playfield does not extend to the edge of the screen but background does. Is that what you are referring to?
Tickled_Pink
That's it, pretty much. Is that a standard thing on the 2600? Been a while since I hooked mine up.
+splendidnut
A limitation of the DPC+ kernel in Batari Basic is that it can only use 32 of the Atari's 40 playfield pixels. Per @Random Terrain 's page: https://www.randomterrain.com/atari-2600-memories-batari-basic-commands.html#dpc_playfield_resolution 1
+Random Terrain
Remember if you're using bB, there is a bB forum: atariage.com/forums/forum/65-batari-basic/
