Master Phruby
I have a modified Atari 7800 with s-video out. After around ten minutes of play, the screen will go black. The game is still playing because I can hear sounds and control the action. I just can't see anything. I turn off the machine and back on and I get a picture. Any ideas? +DrVenkman
What video mod did you do and can you post pictures of the work? It's possible you have a marginal component that is overheating, or alternately, cold solder joint that is opening up over time as the circuit warms up causing loss of video. marauder666
Does it happen on both 7800 and 2600 games? Could be the colour trimpots are on the edge of working with that particular TV.
Master Phruby
I have a Harmony cart in it. I'm thinking it has to do with a bad connection with the s-video. I'll have to try it with just the composite. It is interesting that a reboot solves the problem temporary.
