a8isa1
Would this interface work with a USB bluetooth dongle and a bluetooth keyboard? Has anyone tried? It would be great if A) I didn't have to cut a hole in my 800XL's case for a cable and B) didn't have to commit a keyboard to only the Atari. Thanks. -SteveS
Beeblebrox
Not sure re a Bluetooth dongle/keyboard. Certainly works with a USB dongle wireless 2.4g setup though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B098K1T46C?ref_=pe_27063361_487360311_302_E_DDE_di_1 Edited November 6, 2022 by Beeblebrox
Panther
Have the missing key mappings been corrected on the AKI USB interface?
Beeblebrox
Not as far as I know. Given these aki USB interfaces are still selling it would be good if those very few keys that aren't mapped were.

In the time since I posted my note I've discovered there exist multi-mode keyboards, wired, 2.4g wireless, and bluetooth. I hope to install the dongle (like yours) inside my 800XL (so no cutting needed). If I desire the keyboard would still be usable, in wired or bluetooth mode, to connect to other devices. -SteveS Edited November 6, 2022 by a8isa1
Shift838
I have one of these that I just installed, but I have not found anywhere that shows what key or key combinations are mapped for RESET, OPTION, SELECT, START. This device does not seem to have the HELP key mapped from what I can see.
Beeblebrox
@Shift838 function keys f1 to f5 If you have hooked it all up inside and the dupont connector is working. F1 is help, and f5 reset, with the others in between if I recall. There are 2 or so keys not mapped as detailed in this thread which is an ongoing point of contention. +AtariPhreak
I ordered the external version for my XEGS which should be here in a day or two along with my video upgrade and side3… Will post about the external once I test it.
