Grenawalt
I'm new here so please be gentle with me. I recently purchased a 2600 system. When I tried to hook it up, I realized that the power cord did not fit the console. I found another cord for something else and it fit the console and gave power to the system but the games would not work properly. Could this be because I'm using a cord not intended for the system? If so, any thoughts on where I can get just a power cord? Any help would be appreciated.
joeybastard
Yes if it's the wrong cord, the system will not work properly and youcould damage the system. Here's what you need: Input: 120VAC 60Hz Output: 9VDC 500mA Polarity: Center +, Outer - You can get a universal PS at Radio Shack, Target, Walmart, etc. The universal should have a plug that fits the VCS. Grenawalt
Wow, fast and helpful. Thanks a bunch. I'll get one tonight and try it. If it still doesn't work, I guess I'll know that I screwed it all up.
