Randy
Does anyone know the battery type used in the TT, newer models? I thought it was the same as the Mega STe, a Tadiran something. Thanks
MasterMotorola
When I bought my TT 20 years ago, it had these two Panasonic C-cell batteries taped together and connected to jumper J40. I have never taken them apart to see exactly how they are wired. I imagine you don't need anything fancy to power the internal clock (my ST's Forget-Me-Clock uses a CR2032 watch battery). Most people seem to use battery holders that take either two or four AA batteries.
Zogging Hell
It is a Tadiran (Part no. TL 5242/W) they were still making these about ten years ago, not sure about today though, you should be able to find a clone though. If that's the case, it looks like Digi-Key has plenty in stock for $10.99 USD. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/tadiran-batteries/TL-5242%2FW/512528?
