+davidcalgary29
Can anyone advise of any "Xevious" clones that exist for the 8-bits aside from Espial?
Jetboot Jack
I would reccommend you try FLAK and HAWKQUEST -- both pretty good IMHO... sTeVE
deathtrappomegranate
Xevious was one of my fave arcade games way back. I couldn't afford Atari computers then. I couldn't afford the arcade game either, but I did manage to play now and again...and again...and again.

RJ
Blue Max, Blue Max 2001, Panther & Thunderfox are all similar scrolling type games...but not vertically.
DracIsBack
Blue Max, Blue Max 2001, Panther & Thunderfox are all similar scrolling type games...but not vertically. Acck - Thunderfox - that game is BLOODY frustrating. It's soooo damn hard! Graphics aren't bad, but it is frustrating to the point of videogame rage. I use my 7800 for Xevious. Plays a great version of it!
Jetboot Jack
er -- I think the request was "Xevious clones" -- not any old scrolling shooter I can remember Like I said both Flak and Hawkquest are very close to Xevious, in-fact in the development notes for Hawkquest the guys cited Xevious as their influence (and one of their favorite games)... sTeVE
