jetset
Ok, I have a 2 port 5200 with a 4 port bios. It's been working fine. Today, it suddenly stops working. None of the games come up on screen. Power light comes on....but nothing. Funniest thing is, I have a 2600 adapter. The games through the adapter play fine. How can this be? ANy ideas???? sku_u
That is very weird. I've never heard of something like that happening before.
Charlie_
That is the same exact thing that happened to one of my 5200s. One if the socketed bug chips are bad on the motherboard. I had an extra board laying around a swapped all the bug chips from my extra board to the broken system and it worked fine after that. omne
"bug" chip? Is that just slang for an IC (interrated circuit)? When socketed, those are easy to swap. Finding working replacements, not so easy...
